Matt Priess
What is your role & speciality?
Founder and Head Performance Coach of Body Ops Coaching. I specialize in helping military veterans and high-performing professionals rebuild physical authority through structured nutrition, training, and recovery systems. My focus is on restoring energy, improving body composition, and optimizing performance using a measurable, system-driven approach.
What certifications, education, or experience do you bring to clients?
I am a Marine Corps veteran with over 15 years of experience in fitness and nutrition coaching. I hold a Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) credential and Precision Nutrition Level 1 certification. I have worked with over 2,000 veterans, including complex cases involving injury recovery, PTSD, and metabolic dysfunction. I’ve built and scaled multiple fitness businesses, including leading teams and delivering both in-person and online coaching at scale.
What’s your coaching philosophy or approach to helping clients succeed?
I believe results come from structure, not motivation. My approach is built around the EBQ Method, which aligns nutrition, training, recovery, and daily activity into a measurable system. Clients operate with clear standards, defined metrics, and weekly execution targets. Instead of relying on intensity or guesswork, we create predictable outcomes through consistency, accountability, and data-driven adjustments.
What’s one thing you’re most passionate about in health, fitness, or nutrition?
Helping high-performing individuals regain control over their body and energy so it matches the standards they hold in their professional life. Most of my clients are disciplined in business but lack a system for their health. I’m passionate about closing that gap and restoring their physical edge.
What’s a fun personal fact or hobby outside the gym?
I’m a father of three and spend most of my time outside of work focused on family. I also enjoy building and scaling businesses, studying performance psychology, and staying connected to the veteran community.

What certifications, education, or experience do you bring to clients?
I went to college to be a psychologist and got certified through NCI while being trained here at Bodyops
What’s your coaching philosophy or approach to helping clients succeed?
I like to encourage our members NOT to use statements such as "try" or "I can't" by switching those to "i am doing this". "this is possible" & "I can" - this improves a mindset set for a successful journey. I frequently say "be better than yesterday!" to the clients - the goal is to be so disciplined that it not only feels amazing but it's their new lifestyle!!
What’s one thing you’re most passionate about in health, fitness, or nutrition?
I'm very passionate about longevity and long life

What is your role & speciality?
Personal Coach, Functional Fitness and Strength Training
What certifications, education, or experience do you bring to clients?
I have a degree in Kinesiology and Community Health and hold a current CrossFit Level 2 certification. I spent 12 years as the Owner and Head Coach of Brevity Fitness and J5 CrossFit, coaching a wide range of clients and helping people build strength, confidence, and sustainable habits through training and lifestyle change.
What’s your coaching philosophy or approach to helping clients succeed?
My approach to coaching is built on real relationships with my clients and meeting them where they are. Everyone comes in with different experiences, stress levels, and expectations, so I adjust my coaching to what each person actually needs in that moment. After nearly 30 years in the fitness industry, I’ve learned that the most sustainable progress comes from learning together, staying flexible, and building habits that fit real life...not perfection.
What’s one thing you’re most passionate about in health, fitness, or nutrition?
I’m passionate about helping people realize that health and fitness don’t have to be overwhelming. I want clients to feel confident, capable, and in control of their choices so building a healthy lifestyle feels realistic and sustainable.

My focus areas include fat loss, body recomposition, sustainable habit systems, and mindset transformation for long term change.
What certifications, education, or experience do you bring to clients?
I have a B.S. in Movement Science with an Exercise Science concentration, and over a decade of in-the-trenches coaching experience across private training, small groups, and online settings. My certifications include NSCA-CPT, Precision Nutrition Level 1, FMS Level 1, SFMA Level 1, PPSC, CFSC, and CCC. My approach blends deep knowledge of movement and behavior change with lived experience in what it takes to build discipline, resilience, and confidence from the inside out.
What’s your coaching philosophy or approach to helping clients succeed?
I believe in meeting people where they are and then giving them the tools, structure, and support to go further than they ever thought they could. My philosophy is rooted in the idea that physical change only lasts when it’s backed by internal change. That’s why my work always integrates mindset, behavior, and identity alongside training and nutrition. I focus on systems, not hacks. Progress, not perfection. And most of all helping people build unshakable self-trust so they can lead themselves for life.
What’s one thing you’re most passionate about in health, fitness, or nutrition?
Helping people unlearn the idea that they need to do everything perfectly to see results. I’m most passionate about teaching sustainable structure systems that simplify fitness, help people stay consistent through real-life chaos, and support them in becoming the kind of person they’ve always wanted to be. That moment when someone realizes they can trust themselves? That’s the win I chase every time.
